Marie C. Jors-Grady, (nee Fechter), died peacefully surrounded by her family on July 7, 2012, at Lasata Crossing, Cedarburg.
She was the loving wife of Harold Grady; dear mother of Edward
(B.D.) Jors, Jane (Bob) Arens and John Jors (Ed Hashek); loving Nana of Chris (Carol) Jors, Jenny (Marcus) Zimmerman, Ben Arens (Nick Samardzija), Jeremy (Yaa) Arens, Andrew Arens and Josh Arens; loving great-grandma of Ella and Julia Jors, Olivya Arens, Ava and Will Zimmerman; and dear sister-in-law of Chester Jeziorski and Ben Jeziorski. She is further survived by step-children, Sandra Flasch and Karen Grady; 11 step-grandchildren and seven step-great grandchildren.
Marie was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward A. Jors; parents, George and Rose Fechter; sisters, Julia Helm and Flora Poggenburg; brother, George Jr.; brother-in-law, Ray Jeziorski; and sister-in-law Helen LePine.
Marie loved volunteering at the Cedarburg Chamber of Commerce, which she did for 20 years. She also volunteered at the elections for Cedarburg. She was an employee of Tecumseh Products in Grafton for 17 years and met with the retirees once a month for lunch. Marie alwayssaid: "If you recognize people and smile, they will always smile back."
The family of Marie would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Lasata Crossings, Home Instead and Vitas Hospice for their loving care and compassion.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 12, at 5 p.m. at St. Francis Borgia South Catholic Church, N44 W6055 Hamilton Road, Cedarburg. Interment will be at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 3 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Francis Borgia School Building Fund are appreciated.
