Roman E. Kolar, 88

Roman E. Kolar died on July 6, 2012, after nearly 53 years of love and marriage to Pat Kolar.

Roman was born May 16, 1924, and lived his 88 years in loving dedication to his parents, his country serving as an Army MP in World War II, his career as an electrical engineering tester with Cutler Hammer/Eaton in the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Union, his Navy contract work, his beloved nieces, cousins, godsons and family.

He was a golf lover and enthusiast. But his greatest love and dedication was for Pat and the life and home they built together, living together in the same Cedarburg home for 43 years. Roman will be remembered as kind, caring, and loving, and will leave a giant hole in our lives, a hole as large as the gentle giant man was. God bless you, Roman Kolar. We will miss you.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 21, 2012, at Lumen Christi Parish, 138 W Buntrock Ave. in Thiensville. Visitation will be at the church from 8:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Milwaukee.

Memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association are appreciated. The Schramka-Densow Funeral Home is assisting the family.
