Clarisy Kathryn Lennartz, 87

Clarisy Kathryn Lennartz (nee Flasch, formerly Balthazor), 87, of Campbellsport passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 14, 2012. She was born on Oct. 28, 1924, one of 11 of the late Kilian and Gertrude (nee Becker) Flasch.

Clarisy is survived by her loving children: Maureen E. Halverson, Mary L. (Charles “Archie”) Lebow and John E. (Kandace) Lennartz; her adoring grandchildren: MaryAnne E. Richter, Ava and Kilian Lennartz; her caring great-granddaughters: Elizabeth M. Gilbert and Reigina A. Timm, and her one and only great-great-grandson Hayden L. Seibel. She is also survived by her brother Robert (Janet) Flasch, sisters-in-law Adeline Flasch and Grace Flasch, brothers-in-law John Leitner and Richard Slavik, a son-in-law Jack Puerling, and other relatives and friends.

Clarisy was preceded in death by her husbands Leo Balthazor in 1964 and Joseph Lennartz in 1997, her siblings: John “Woody” Flasch, Roland Flasch, Leonard Flasch, Raymond Flasch, Gregor Flasch, Wilmer “Bill” Flasch, Roger “Peter” Flasch, Paula Leitner and Joan Slavik, her son-in-law Earl “Red” Halverson, and her feline companion of 19 years Molly.

Clarisy will be best remembered for her total involvement with all her family members as she cooked for them, kept them entertained and provided a safe haven for them when needed. Her baking skills were outstanding with pies being her specialty but she was known just as well for serving up a delicious homecooked meal. Her love of cats and other “critters” was well known. She kept the squirrels in her neighborhood well fed on peanuts.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 19, 2012, at 6:30 p.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home in West Bend with Dan Schroeder officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends for a period of visitation on Thursday from 4:30-6:15 p.m. Memorials can be made in Clarisy’s name to the Humane Society of your choice in honor of Clarisy’s love of animals.
