Joyce E. ‘Babe’ Bilder, 74

A memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2012, at 6:30 p.m.
at St. Francis Borgia North Catholic Church, 1375 Covered Bridge Road, Cedarburg, for Joyce E. “Babe” Bilder, who died at Columbia St.
Mary’s Ozaukee Campus in Horizon Hospice on Saturday, July 14, 2012, of natural causes at the age of 74. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 4 p.m. until 6:15 p.m. Interment will be private at St. Francis Borgia Cemetery in Mequon.

Joyce was born in Brown Deer to Frank and Mary (nee Jeffords) Gleissner on Dec. 19, 1937. Joyce was united in marriage to Donald Bilder on May 4, 1957, at St. Catherine’s Church in Milwaukee. They were blessed with three children. Their marriage was blessed for 55 years.

There are many things that Babe liked, such as bowling, traveling (especially to Hawaii), going to casinos and she just loved playing sheepshead. Joyce enjoyed her position as a waitress at the Grafton Hotel and the Edge of Town, where she worked for 17 years each.

Babe’s love also was the beautiful bird “cardinals.”

Joyce “Babe” is survived by her husband of 55 years, Donald; children, Kim (Ron) Grisar, Cindy Bilder and Mike Bilder; grandchildren, Lisa (Jeff) Lilja, Mark (Alyssa) Grisar, Christopher, Danielle, Andrew and Jordan Bilder; great-grandchild, Landon Bilder; sisters, Frances (Earl) Bergemann, Donna (Bob) Lee and Dorothy (the late Frank) Gill; brothers-in-law, Arthur (Susan) Bilder, Richard (Jean) Bilder and Phil Bilder. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Gleissner; her sister, Sissy; and in-laws, Art and Rose Bilder; and sisters-in- law, Marianne (the late Frank) Karner and the late Joan Bilder.
