Marlene J. Matenaer (nee Bruder), 75, entered into heaven’s eternal gates surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Kathy Hospice in West Bend.
She was born on Jan. 5, 1937 in North Dakota to Edward and Anice (nee Roestel) Bruder. She married Paul Matenaer on July 4, 1953.
She enjoyed gardening, reading, cooking and always had a pet cat. She was a devoted homemaker, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her children, John (Gail) of Sheboygan, Barbara (David) Brady of Ohio, Michael of Kewaskum, Jeffrey (fiancée, Silvia) of Indiana, Alan (Robin) of Fredonia, Lisa (Joe) Winker of Cedar Grove; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Duane (Evie) Bruder; and sister-in-law, Judy Juech.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul; and children, Paul Jr. and Susan; sister, Marion Krueger; and brothers-in-law, Larry Krueger and Melroy Juech.
The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at noon at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W Paradise Drive, West Bend) with Rev. Jim Engelman presiding. The visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, June 2, 2012 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at noon.
Interment will follow at (new) St. Mary’s Cemetery in West Bend. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kathy Hospice (3232 Pleasant Valley Road, West Bend, WI 53095), in memory of Marlene.
