Tony J. Bieniek, 82


Tony J. Bieniek, 82, of the town of Kewaskum died Friday, June 1, 2012, at his residence. He was born Jan. 3, 1930, in Rib Lake to the late Adam and Susan (nee Kuna) Bieniek and married Evelyn F. Bube on Feb. 3, 1951, in Rib Lake.

Tony served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Following his discharge he worked for Hurd Millwork in Medford. They moved to West Bend in 1968 before settling in Kewaskum in 1978.

He was a master carpenter. He enjoyed spending time at their cabin up north and liked hunting, fishing and gardening. Tony loved listening to polka music.
Tony is survived by his wife of 61 years, Evelyn, seven children: Lynn Judnic of Kewaskum, Ginger (Vincent) Murphy of Belgium, Kelly (fiancé Jo Ann Rottinghaus) of Mequon, Shelley (Mark) Brenholt of Hartford, Jody (A.J.) Steele of Midlothian, Va., Tracy (Charlie) Schlessinger of Port Washington and Becky (Chris) Franks of Sun Prairie and 17 grandchildren: Jason, Nathan, Erin, Claire, Sean, Bobbi Jo, Kara, Reid, Jack, Nick, Dayle, Victoria, Charles, Neil, Garrett, Dean and Paul. He is further survived by eight great-grandchildren: Timothy, Caroline, Bella, Rylan, Liam, Kaylee, Gracie and Blake, five siblings: Mary De Bruin of Campbellsport, Stella Pendergast of Eagle River, Frank (Kathie) Bieniek of Stetsonville, Eva (Bill) Mathews of West Bend and Kathryn (Jim) Chase of Hardenville, Mo., brothers in-law and sisters-in-law: Betty Monty of Milwaukee, Deloris (Paul) Matyka of Rib Lake, Charles (Theresa) Bube of Rib Lake and Shirley (John) Hebert of Rib Lake, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Tony is preceded in death by his parents, Adam and Susan Kuna, his son Cory, his son-in-law Joe Judnic, his brother Adam Bieniek and his sister Helen Surek.

A Mass of Christian burial to celebrate Tony’s life took place on Monday, June 4, 2012, at 2 p.m. at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Church in West Bend with the Rev. John Radetski presiding. Burial followed in St. Mary’s New Cemetery. The family greeted relatives and friends for a period of visitation on Monday, at the church only from noon-1:45 p.m.
