Anita M. Hartmann, 89|
Anita M. Hartmann, nee Mueller, 89, of Hartford, formerly of West Bend, died on Thursday, June 7, 2012, at Wellington Place. She was born on July 9, 1922, in Hartford to the late Peter and Helen (nee Thorn) Meuller.
On Nov. 9, 1946, she was united in marriage to Edmund F. Hartmann at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. The couple settled on a farm in the town of Addison and moved to West Bend in 1986. Edmund predeceased on June 7, 2007.
Anita was a loving wife, caring mother and cherished grandmother. She loved gardening and canning.
She was a member of the Christian Women’s Confraternity at the former Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Nenno.
Survivors include five children Patricia of West Bend, Marlene (Lawrence) DeMarino of Tuscon, Ariz., Kenneth of Oceanside, Calif., Rita (Harold) Severance of Sheboygan and James (Kim) of Allenton; five grandchildren Christina Bennett, Melissa De-Marino, Andrea DeMarino, Matthew Hartmann and Jenny (Andrew) Sternburg; two great-grandchildren Angela and Michael Bennett; six brothers and sisters Elmer Mueller of Hartford, Ruth Striegel of Slinger, Carmen Dais of Hartford, Marion Kiefer of West Bend, Joyce Wiedmeyer of Hartford and Frederick (Doris) Mueller of Slinger; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers Alvin Mueller and Clarence Mueller, one sister Eleanore Bingham, and three brothers-in-law Robert Kiefer, Ambrose Wiedmeyer and Clarence Bingham.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, June 11, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church. Burial will be in Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Nenno. Visitation will be at the Schmidt Funeral Home on Sunday, June 10, from 5-7 p.m. and also at the church only on Monday from 9:30-10:15 a.m.
