Janice K. Filber (nee Hoerchner), 47, found peace in the arms of Jesus on Saturday, June 9, 2012. She had been a patient at Kathy Hospice.
Janice was born on Oct. 28, 1964, in West Bend to the late Allen and Gladys (nee Vogel) Hoerchner. She attended Trinity Lutheran School and graduated from West Bend East with the class of 1983. On May 8, 1993, she married Paul Filber at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
Janice was studying to be a registered nurse and was employed at St. Joseph’s Hospital. She was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church on Pleasant Valley Road. Janice will be remembered for her kind and caring spirit and her “always on the go” lifestyle. Janice’s smile warmed the hearts of everyone and she will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her husband Paul; two daughters Emily, 15 and Madisyn, 11; her parent-in-laws Arthur and Marilyn Filber; brothers John, Jim (Sheri), and Mark and sister Judy (Gilbert) Luebbe; brother-in-laws Peter (Kyle) and Philip; and sister-in-laws Pamela (Tim) Hartfiel and Patti Alice (Scott) Derge. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and multitude of friends.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents Al and Gladys Hoerchner, her oldest brother Eddie, aunts, uncles, grandparents and her nephew Ben Derge.
A Christian Victory of Service for Janice will be held on Friday, June 15, 2012, at 7 p.m. at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church (1268 Pleasant Valley Road) in the town of Jackson with the Rev. Kenneth Mellon presiding. A visitation will be held on Friday, June 15, from 3-7 p.m. at church. A private interment will take place at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials are appreciated to the family for her children’s education and/ or to the charity of your choice.
