Dolores G. “Tootie” Miller (nee Gruno), age 75, of 301 N. Clark St., Mayville, passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2012, surrounded by her loving family at Winchester Place in Horicon.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, July 3, at 5 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Mayville, with the Rev. Tom Biersack presiding. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 3, from 1:30-4:30 p.m. at the church. Interment will take place at St. Mary Cemetery the following day.
Tootie was born the daughter of Alex and Lucille (Blum) Gurno on Oct. 5, 1936, near LeRoy, Wis. She was united in marriage to Raphael “Ralph” Miller on June 4, 1955, in Oakfield. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Tootie and Ralph owned and operated Miller’s Bar in Mayville from 1965-1971. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, McDonald’s ice cream and fish fries. Tootie also like to play cards and the penny slots at the casino. Tootie had a love for polka dancing throughout her life. Most important to Tootie was her family, whom she loved spending time with.
Tootie is survived by her two daughters, Deborah Willis of Mayville and Susan (Scott) Schabel of Kekoskee; her two sons; Michael (Susan) Miller of Johnson Creek and David (Sandra) Miller of Germantown; her grandchildren and great grandchildren; further survived by nieces and nephews other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ralph in 1995 and one sister, Shirley.
