John ("Jack") Denton Boltz, 84|
John ("Jack") Denton Boltz, 84 - Jan. 13, 1928 to Feb. 27, 2012, of Mequon, formerly of Germantown and Chicago, lost his long fought battle with Parkinsonís disease on Feb. 27, 2012, at the age of 84. Beloved husband of Gail, father of Jamie (Jay) Costley and Daniel, loving grandfather of Caroline, Campbell, Jimmy and Alexandra.
An avid golfer, gardener and music lover, Jack was also a Korean War
veteran and a retired colonel in the Army Reserves. A proud student
at the Missouri Military Academy and The University of Illinois, Jack
instilled a love of learning in all those he touched.
Jack was a proud member of the National American Marine Surveyors,
the Marine Historical Society, the Ozaukee County Historical Society,
the Civil War Roundtable and American Legion Post in Cedarburg, as
well as a member of the Retired Military Officer's Association. He
was the sole proprietor of Inland Surveyors, a Milwaukee- and Chicago-
based marine surveying firm now operated by Dan. He will be sorely
missed by his friends and family. We would like to thank Horizon Home
Care and Hospice for their care and compassion in his final days and
his dedicated primary care physician, Dr. Henry Schnitzler. In lieu
of flowers, memorials can be made to the National Parkinsonís
Foundation or a charity of your choice.
A memorial service will be held at Mequon United Methodist Church,
11011 N. Oriole Lane, Mequon, on Saturday, March 3, at 10 a.m.
Schramka Densow Funeral Home is serving the family.
