Charles N. Schneider, 97, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012.

Charles was born on Dec. 31, 1914 in Menomonee Falls to Charles and Elizabeth (nee Lauer) Schneider. He married Marie Greulich on Jan. 18, 1936 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown.

Charles enjoyed socializing with family and friends about farming. He and Marie loved travelling together and seeing all the world had to offer.

Charles was a member of both St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church and the Moose Lodge #1398.

Charles is survived by his children Donald (special friend Lois) of West Bend, Daniel (Kathy) of West Bend, Gary (Karen) of West Bend, Darlene (Jon) Fueger of Louisville, Ky., Charlyn (Bill) Gaedke of New Holstein, and Tom Schneider of West Bend; daughter-in-law Barbara Schneider of Fredonia; 21 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his sister-in-law Dorothy Case of Loveland, Colo.; brother-in-law George Greulich of West Bend; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives, dear friends, and his pet cat Muffy Marie.

Charles is preceded in death by his wife Marie; parents Charles and Elizabeth; son Douglas; daughters-in-law Barbie and Paulette Schneider; brothers Mathew (Pearl), Tony (Annie), John (Elvira), and Alphons (Marcella) Schneider; and sisters Margaret (George) Neuberg and Betty (Matt) Wildt.

A memorial service for Charles will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 1025 S. Seventh Ave. in West Bend with Fr. Nathan Reesman presiding. Gathering will take place from 9:30-10:45 a.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at the church ONLY.

Entombment will take place at Washington County Memorial Park at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.
