Beverly S. Strohwig (nee Ninke), 73, passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2012.

Beverly was born on Sept. 20, 1938 in Milwaukee to Edward and Leona (nee Borkenhagen) Ninke. She was born and raised in Milwaukee where she was a graduate of Washington High School, Class of 1956. She worked as a secretary until Jan. 22, 1966 when she married Egbert Strohwig and began her family. Beverly was an active member of the Channel 10 Auction, and the Richfield Womens Club.

Beverly loved going to Potowatomi Casino, dog races and wagering of any kind. She loved sports and being active in general. Beverly enjoyed watching her grandchildren in all their events and just being a grandma!

Beverly is survived by her husband Egbert; children Gary (Emily) of Slinger and Michelle of Hubertus; and grandchildren Kendra, McKenzie, Alexander, and Christina. She is further survived by her brothers-in-law Wolfgang (Judith) Strohwig and Lester Neubauer, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Beverly is preceded in death by her parents Edward and Leona Ninke, brothers Warren and Gerald Ninke, and sisters Shirley Neubauer, June Manthey and Virginia Buechs.

A memorial service for Beverly will be at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 16, 2012 at the Phillip Funeral Chapel (1420 W. Paradise Drive in West Bend) with Pastor Jay Thorson presiding. Visitation will be from 5-6:45 p.m. on Friday, March 16, 2012 at the funeral home ONLY.
