Ruth P. Schlosser, 89



Ruth P. Schlosser, nee Runte, of West Bend, died on Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at Cedar Crossings at Pleasant Valley at the age of 89 years. She was born on Sept. 17, 1922, in Kewaskum, to the late Frank and Ursula (nee Driessle) Runte. After completing Holy Trinity School in Kewaskum, she went on to graduate from Kewaskum High School in 1940. She then went on to beauty school in Milwaukee and became a licensed beautician.


Following her marriage to Wilbert M. Schlosser at Holy Trinity Cathoilc Church in Kewaskum on Jan. 10, 1942, the couple settled in West Bend. Wilbert predeceased Nov. 2, 2005.

She enjoyed playing cards, including sheepshead, bowling, fishing, camping and working in her back yard. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and grandchildren.

Survivors include three children: Sharon (Ival) Kleinke, Charles (Marcie) and Mary (Ted) Fellenz, all of West Bend; 1 daughterin-law Barbara Schlosser of West Bend; eight grandchildren: Lori (Doug) Dolge, Christi (Michael) Walker, Mark (Nancy) Schlosser, Pam (Len) Severson, Becky (Brian) Leitheiser, Matt Schlosser, Nathan Fellenz (fiancée Jessie) and Jason (Amy) Fellenz; 14 great-grandchildren; one nephew John (Luann) Runte of Neenah; two sisters-in-law Armella Gubin of Delafield and Johanna Schlosser of West Bend; one brother-in-law Roland (Paula) Schlosser of New Jersey; other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, John, and one brother, Al Runte.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 23, at 7 p.m. at St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. John Radetski presiding. Burial will be at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Cemetery (new). The family will greet relatives and friends at the church only on Friday from 4:30 until 6:45 p.m.

The family has requested memorials to St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
