Jill Ann Knier, 51

Jill Ann Knier (nee Heinrich), passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 22, 2012. She was born in Milwaukee on May 3, 1961, to John and Clare (nee Marx) Heinrich. She graduated from West Bend East in 1979. She studied radiology at St. Mary’s Hospital and worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital as a radiologist technician. She was a stay at home mom for many years and later worked at Verre Young Eye Clinic. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2004; she fought a courageous battle for eight years.

Jill enjoyed working in her vegetable and flower gardens, outdoor activities, traveling, and especially spending time with her family. She will be missed for her determination and compassion. She was a devoted mother and wife.
She is survived by her husband, Michael; sons, Jeffrey and Bradley; siblings Kathleen (Michael) Polega and Daniel (Lisa) Heinrich; parents-in-law, Richard and Barbara Knier; sister in-law, Sandy (Mark) Gonnering; and brother-in-law, Tim Niemuth. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Jeanie Niemuth.
The Memorial Service for Jill will be held on Monday, March 26, 2012, at 7 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W. Paradise Drive, West Bend, WI 53095) with Deacon Ron Schneider presiding. The visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, March 26, from 4-6:45 p.m. Interment of cremains will take place at (new) St. Mary’s Cemetery in Barton at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family and they will disperse to various cancer foundations.
