A visitation will be held prior the funeral Mass at the church, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Father Dan Janasik will officiate at the funeral Mass. Interment will take place at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Cemetery immediately following the Funeral Mass. Catherine passed away at the Samaritan Home in West Bend on March 26, 2012. Her legacy will live on in those lives she touched throughout her 95 years. Catherine was born on the family farm in the town of Wauwatosa on May 24, 1916, to Charles and Helen Benzing. She later married Andrew C. Larson Jr. on July 5, 1943, at St. Cecelia’s Catholic Church in Mequon. Their marriage was blessed with six children. Catherine was a longtime active member at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church and was a member of the Homemaker’s Club in Mequon. She loved to garden and was especially fond of roses. Catherine’s true love, however, was spending time with her family and friends. She always put her family before herself, which was evident at all of the holiday parties. She made everyone in the family feel welcome and so very special. Catherine is survived by her beloved husband, Andrew C. Larson Jr.; her children, Gail (Edgar) Liesenberg, Sandy (Al) Verfuerth, Pam Mixer, Scott (Marlene) Larson and Jeff Larson; and brother, Charles Benzing. She is further survived by 14 grandchildren, 17 great- grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Catherine was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Andrew C. Larson III. The family would like to thank the loving and caring staff at the Samaritan Home in West Bend for all of their care and compassion for the past five years.
