Milton G. Kuehl, 87, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at Cedar Community.
Milton was born on Sept. 2, 1924 to the late Edward and Eleanore (nee Schreier) in the town of Addison. He was baptized on Sept. 21, 1924 by Pastor Julius Uhlmann and confirmed in 1937 by Pastor Herman Cares at Emmanuel Lutheran Church. He grew up speaking German and later interpreted German, while serving in the U.S. Army from 1944-1946. Milton married Lilas (nee Groth) on Oct. 4, 1947 at Redeemer Lutheran Eangelical Church in Fond du Lac.
Milton enjoyed caring for his rose garden, traveling after their retirement to Branson, Mo. And most of all, loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughter Kathleen (Mark) Mertes; grandchildren Stephen (Krista) and Rebecca. He is also survived by his brother Russell. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife and brother Harold.
Funeral services for Milton will be held on Friday, March 30 at 4:30 p.m. at Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church (777 S. Indiana Ave.) in West Bend with Pastor Robert Hein and Pastor Richard Lauersdorf presiding. Visitation will be on Friday, March 30 from 2:30-4:30 p.m. at church only. Entombment will be on Saturday, March 31, at 11 a.m. at Washington County Memorial Park. Memorials are appreciated to either Good Shepherd Eangelical Lutheran Church or Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School (3399 Division Road, Jackson, WI 53037).
