James T. Pettit, 68|
James T. Pettit of West Bend, 68, died on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at Virginia Highland Health and Rehabilitation Center in Germantown. He was born on Aug. 5, 1943 in Eau Claire to the late Joseph and Della (nee Yates) Pettit.
After growing up on Eau Claire, he moved to Kewaskum in the mid-1960s and became employed at the West Bend Company. He then moved to Sturtevant and started working at Case New Holland in Racine.
Following his marriage to Beverly Hemering in 1989, he settled in Milwaukee. For the past three years, he has lived in West Bend.
Survivors include a stepson Kip of Oshkosh; brothers and sisters Eileen Niehoff of Jackson, Michael of West Bend, Audrey (Jack) Sumner of Eau Claire, Tom (Diane) of Richfield, Steve (Carol) of Auburn, Calif., Daniel (Jane) of Middleton, Elizabeth (Al) Bach of Waukesha and Mark of Phoenix; two sisters-in-law Nancy (Larry) Maloney of Wauwatosa and Karen Pettit of Phoenix; one brother-in-law Robert Sumner of Chippewa Falls; nieces, nephews, stepchildren, step-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one sister Patricia Sumner, one brother Joseph, one brother-inlaw Robert Niehoff and one sister-in-law Elaine Pettit.
At the family’s request, private services will be held.
