Marie R. Taylor, 97


Marie R. Taylor, nee Faber, 97, of West Bend, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2012 at the Samaritan Health Center, West Bend.
She was born on May 24, 1914 in the town of Wayne to the late Oscar and Louisa (nee Klumb) Faber. She was united in marriage to Russell E. Taylor on March 12, 1938 at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church in the town of Wayne.

She was employed at the West Bend Company for many years and was a member of the 25 Year Club. She was a member of St. Johnís Ev. Lutheran Church in West Bend and the St. Johnís Ladies Aid. Marie enjoyed playing Sheepshead and traveling with the family and going up north to the cottage.
She is survived by two children, Richard Taylor of West Bend, and Kathleen (Russel) Roecker of West Bend; four grandchildren, Lisa (Scott) Christiansen of Monroe, Dina Harter of West Bend, Rod Roecker of Waterbury, Conn., and Suzanne Roecker of Jacksonville, Fla.; six great-grandchildren, Derek Christiansen, Steven Christiansen, Brittany Zahn, Nicholas Maurina, Doyle Roecker, and Tyler Roecker; a sister in-law, Dolores Faber of West Bend; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son-in-law, Richard Harter; a granddaughter, Diana Harter; two sisters, Marcella Griepentrop and Martha Kudek; and a brother, LeRoy Faber.

A funeral service in remembrance of Marie will be held on Wednesday, April 4 at noon at St. Johnís Ev. Lutheran Church, 809 S. Sixth Ave., West Bend. Rev. Gerald Presuhn will officiate and burial will follow in Newark Cemetery in the town of Barton.

Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
