Bernard J. Wolf, 81

Bernard J. Wolf, 81, passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2012. He was born in Richfield on Jan. 11, 1931 to John and Anna (nee Schmitt). He graduated from Slinger High School in 1949 and then served in the Army during the Korean War until 1953. He married Dolores (nee Hamm) on June 16, 1956. He was a truck driver for CW Transport (formerly Olson Transport in West Bend) retiring in 1988. He then drove for the Threshold for 10 years. He enjoyed gambling, deer hunting and spending time with family. He especially loved watching his grandkids play sports. He was a member of the VFW Post 3358 of Slinger and the Moose Lodge.

He is survived by his wife; children, Richard of North Branch, Minn., Victoria of West Bend, James (Chloe) of West Bend, Joseph of Chicago; grandchildren, Brittney (friend, Theo) Wolf, Kimberly (Alex) Olin, Tanya, Amanda, Kaitlyn, and Alexis Wolf; brothers, John (Loretta), and Robert (Irene); sistersin-law, Mildred and Shirley Wolf, Gladys (Walter) Wenzlaff, Marlene (Donald) Sarauer; Lois (Roy) Lochen, Rosemary (Dennis) Edwards; and brothers-in-law, Marvin (Carol) Hamm and William (Eva) Hamm. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; parents in-laws; Charles (Mathilda) Hamm; sisters, Marie (Edgar) Leinenbach, Lorraine (Melvin) Kuhaupt, Dorothy (Elmer) Bandle, Ruth (Eugene) Kuhaupt; brothers, Lawrence (Marie), Cyril, Anthony, Francis, and Ralph Wolf.

The memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 2, 2012 at 11 a.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church (1025 S. Seventh Ave., West Bend) with Fr. Nathan Reesman presiding. The visitation will be at church on Monday, April 2 from 9-10:45 a.m. Interment of cremains will take place at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Allenton immediately following the Mass.
