Jimmie Maurer, 69 Jimmie
Maurer, 69, of Eden, died Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at his residence. He was
born on Oct. 31, 1942, in West Bend the son of LeRoy and Ione Wendt
Maurer. On June 16, 1962, he married Susie Galabinske at St. Lucas
Lutheran Church, Kewaskum. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in
Germany from 1962 to 1965. Jimmie worked for Gehl Company from 1965-67
and for the past 45 years he drove semi truck for various trucking
companies. He was semi retired. He was an avid reader, enjoyed fishing,
hunting, boating, traveling, taking care of the lawn, visiting with the
neighbors, bike and motorcycle riding, feeding the birds and spending
time with his dogs “Odie” and “Baby Bella."Jimmie is survived by his wife Susie, of Eden, a daughter Heidi (Bob) Sippel, Fond du Lac, a son Charles (Vicki) Maurer, Okla., foreign exchange student Daniel Thatcher, Germany, five grandchildren Kyle, Kameron, Kollin Sippel, Allison and Colton Maurer. He is further survived by a sister Barb (Ray) Gahan, West Bend; two brothers, Raymond (Elaine) Maurer, Campbellsport, and Oscar (Julie) Miller, Coloma; four stepsisters and brothers, Cheri (Ed) Hord, Ark., Mary (John) Harpo, Colo., Gwynn (Marilyn) Theusch, West Bend, and Randy (Debbie) Theusch, Saukville; three sisters-in-law, Katie (John) Fleischman, Kewaskum, Tootie (Dave) Otte, Cedar Grove, and Penny Pagel, Mount Calvary; special niece Jill (Steve) Ebert, Kewaskum; and other nieces and nephews and their families. Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, LeRoy Maurer and Ione Miller, step-mother, Lydia Maurer Coffman, step-father Oscar Miller Sr. and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lawrence and Adeline Galabinske, brother-in-law Lawrence “Gabby” Galabinske, Jr. and sister-in-law Mary Gerlach. At Jimmie’s request there will be no visitation or services. Cremation has taken place. Uecker-Witt Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
