Mary Ann Herian (nee Schall), 83, passed away May 14, 2012.
She was predeceased by parents, Martin F. and Elizabeth (Fischer) Schall; and brothers, Rodney F. and Leo R. Schall; and infant daughter, Mary Ann.
Mary Ann is survived by her adoring husband of 60 years James F. "Jim" Herian; five children, 17 grandchildren and four great-grandsons: Children are Mark (Karen) Herian, Gail (Michael) Kaske, David (Gina) Herian, Lisa (Andrés) Villanueva and Sara Herian (Scott) McCutcheon.
Grandchildren are Brad (Kelly) Herian, Amy (James) Berger, Brian (Ashley) Kaske, Sandra, Katie, James, Victoria, Venessa, Daniel, Marie, Timothy and Mark Herian, Claire and Andrés Villanueva, Hallie (Jim) Lindner, Benjamin and Patrick McCutcheon.
Great-grandsons are Logan James Herian, Sebastian James Kaske, Landon James and Hayden Scott Lindner.
She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Ilse V. Schall; and brother- in-law, the Rev. Kenneth J. Herian, S.J., cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mary Ann was born May 5, 1929, in Bismarck, N.D. She was a proud alum of the college of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minn., class of 1951.
Mary Ann and Jim married in Hague, N.D., on July 11, 1951, and moved to Milwaukee and later Grafton, where they raised their loving family.
Mary Ann loved God and the beauty of his creation. She was a woman of strong faith and moral character. She loved her family beyond measure and will be sadly missed by them.
A memorial Mass is planned for Sunday, May 20, 2012, at 6:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1619 W. Washington St., Grafton.
Visitation will be on Sunday at the church from 5 p.m. until the time of the Mass.
