Stanley C. Malcolm, 64
Stanley C. Malcolm, 64, of Hartford, passed away Friday, May 25, 2012, after a 14-month battle with pancreatic cancer. Stan was born Sept. 4, 1947 in Milwaukee to Stanley and Pearl (nee Knopp) Malcolm.
He was united in marriage to Rita Miller on Sept. 24, 1966 at St. Kilian Church Hartford.
Stan was a beautiful husband, wonderful father and grandfather, aka POPS, loving son, awesome brother, uncle, nephew, and a special friend to everyone who knew him. His family and friends meant so much to him and he cherished every minute spent with them.
Through all the ups and downs over the years he was always there whenever someone needed him. In the past 14 months it was returned to him tenfold. Each and every one of you were there for him with all of your prayers and support. This journey for Stan and Rita was the most difficult thing they have ever faced in their 46 years together and family and friends helped them cope. But most importantly, it is their faith in our dear Lord and the Lord carried them through.
Stan is survived by his wife, Rita of 46 years; his sons, Mark (Dana) Malcolm of Georgetown, La., and Michael Malcolm of Madison; six grandchildren, Jacob, Jessica, Victoria, Nick, Sam and Trey; his father, Stanley A. Malcolm (special friend, Kathy Dickerson) of Holiday, Fla.; his sister, Bonnie (Denny) Erickson of Fond du Lac; and his brother, Gary (Monica) Malcolm of Campbellsport. He is further survived by his mother-in-law, Pauline Miller, brother-in-law, Francis “Franny” Miller of Iron Ridge, and sister-in-law, Evelyn “Tuitti” (Larry) Gatzke of West Bend, and other special and loved family and friends.
Stan was preceded in death by his mother Pearl Malcolm and his father-inlaw Elvoy Miller.
