Diane
Florence Herlinger (nee Beyer), 74, of the town of Trenton passed away
Nov. 10, 2012 at Samaritan Health Center in West Bend. Diane was born on
Aug. 8, 1938 in Milwaukee. Diane graduated Riverside High School in 1956
and Mount Mary College 1960 with an occupational therapist degree. She
married her high school sweetheart John Walter Herlinger on March 3,
1962 in Milwaukee.
Diane worked as an occupational therapist in many different nursing
homes and health care facilities. She and her husband loved to travel.
Diane was a member of the Fenton Glass Club and the Depression Era Glass
Society. She also was involved with the Pommerscher Verein Freistadt and
a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association.
Diane is survived by her two sons, Chris (Laure) of Saukville, Mark
(Katherine) of Milwaukee; five grandchildren, Kimberly, Patricia, Emily,
Seth, Jillian; sister, Kathy (Tary) Kirsch; and nieces, nephews, other
friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her loving husband
and best friend John, her parents and a grandson Phillip.
A memorial service will be held for Diane on Friday, Nov. 16, 2012 at 11
a.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel in West Bend with the Very
Reverend Thomas Eichenberger officiating. Visitation will be held on
Friday, Nov. 16, from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. In
lieu of flowers, memorials to the Washington County Humane Society are
appreciated.
