Henry Louis Knuth,
Louis Knuth, 71, passed away Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012 at Beaver Dam
Hospital. He was born at Oct. 14, 1941, in Port Washington to the late
Wilfred and Ruth, nee Ernst, Knuth and was baptized at Trinity Lutheran
Church, Freistadt, and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran, Pleasant Valley
Road in 1955. He graduated from West Bend High School in June 1959.
He lived on the family farm until the family moved to Freistadt and then
to Milwaukee He worked at Tools & Abrasives in Milwaukee, Collection
Management Agency and had an excavating and backhoe business with his
brother Martin. He also had Poly Sharp, a knife- and scissors-sharpening
business. He enjoyed hunting and collecting guns.
He married Shirley Wirth on June 27, 1979, and they lived in Milwaukee,
Adams/Friendship and currently in Horicon.
He is survived by his wife Shirley; mother Ruth; and brother and sisters
Martin (Barbara) Knuth, Marlene (Bill) Poellot and Marilyn (Roger)
Kaschner; nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and many friends. He was
preceded death in by an infant daughter, father Wilfred, brother Donald,
and other relatives and friends.
Memorial service will be Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at 3:30 p.m. with
visitation from 2 p.m. until time of service at Trinity Lutheran Church,
1268 Pleasant Valley Road, town of Jackson, with Rev. Mellon presiding.
Burial will be a private family service at Trinity Cemetery. There will
be a light lunch following the service. Memorials to Trinity Lutheran
Church or charity of your choice.
