Virginia A. Weyres,
Virginia A. Weyres, 87, of Chapel Hill, N.C., passed away on Monday,
Nov. 19, 2012, at Carolwoods Health Center in Chapel Hill.
She was born on Jan. 28, 1925, in Racine, the daughter of the late
Thomas and Ida (Behrens) Weyres.
Virginia spent her entire career with the U.S. State Department in
various foreign posts.
Those Virginia leaves behind to cherish her memory include a brother,
Walter Weyres of Washington, D.C.; a sister, Lucille (Jack) Schofield of
Florida; a brother-inlaw, Gerald Stoffel of Kewaskum; a sister-in-law,
Barbara Weyres of Florida; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and
In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by a sister,
Ruth Stoffel, and a brother, Robert Weyres.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Virginia will be held at 10 a.m. on
Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Church in
West Bend, with the Rev. John Radetski officiating. Burial will be in
St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in West Bend and a time of fellowship in
the church hall will follow the burial.
