James A. Campbell,
“Jim” A. Campbell, 69, passed away on Friday, Nov. 23, 2012. Jim was
born on Dec. 22, 1942, in Bigfork, Minn., to Bernard and Mary (nee Kanz)
Campbell. He was a graduate of Bigfork, Minn., class of 1960, and then
served in the United States Navy. He moved to California in 1964 and
married Lucy Montag on Feb. 4, 1995. Jim and Lucy remained in California
until retirement in 2008 when they moved to West Bend. Jim enjoyed
bowling, playing horseshoes, watching his beloved Vikings and NASCAR,
and was an overall sports fanatic. Jim was also a member of the Allenton
American Legion Post 483.
Jim is survived by his wife Lucy; daughters Megan Hunt, Tanya (George)
Salas, and Heather (Steve) Gomez; step-children Tamara Baumdicker and
Julia (Keith) Merrill; and 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He is further survived by his two brothers, two sisters, many nieces,
nephews, other relatives and dear friends. Jim is preceded in death by
his parents, son, step-son, three brothers and two sisters.
A funeral service for Jim will be at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012,
at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel, 1420 W. Paradise Drive in West Bend
with the Rev. Joseph Dominic presiding. Visitation will be from 3-4:45
p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at the funeral home only. In lieu of
flowers, memorials are appreciated to Susan G. Komen for the Cure (P.O.
