Jane
Carolyn Anderson, nee Gibson, 49, of Milwaukee, passed away unexpectedly
Nov. 27, 2012, at her home. She was born Sept. 8, 1963, in West Bend, to
Dr. Richard and Carolyn (nee Kappe) Gibson.
Jane was united in marriage to William Leo Anderson on July 17, 2004.
She and Bill have one son, David, age 2.
Jane graduated from West Bend West High School in 1982. She was a proud
alumni of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, earning her bachelor of
science degree in education in 1987. She then went on to complete her
master’s degree at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She loved
working with students and taught math and science. She taught at Badger
Middle School in West Bend. She taught there from 1988 to 2012. Jane
also taught Sunday School at St. Matthew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church
in Wauwatosa.
Jane is survived by her husband, Bill, son David, parents Richard and
Carolyn, and her four brothers: Richard H. (Kris Mooney) Gibson M.D. of
Brookfield, James H. (Anita) Gibson of Eden Prairie, Minn., Robert D. (Sheree)
Gibson M.D. of West Bend, and Thomas D. (fiancee Tracy Fleischman)
Gibson of Appleton. She is also survived by her motherinlaw, Jane
Anderson of Wauwatosa, sister-inlaw, Therese (Kent) Wayson of Milwaukee,
two brothers-in-law, Fr. Jordan (Stephen) Anderson of San Pedro, Calif.,
and Gerald (Skip) Anderson of Waukesha, and 11 nieces and nephews. She
was predeceased by her father-in-law, Gerald L. Anderson, her paternal
grandparents, Harry and Marion Gibson, and maternal grandparents, Henry
and Ella Kappe.
Jane loved her family. She was a survivor. Jane overcame multiple
challenges in her lifetime and by rising above them, she was an
inspiration to us all. Jane was loved by all who knew her and she gave
fully of herself. Once married, her goal was to have a family and
David’s arrival was an extremely joyous event.
A funeral service in remembrance of Jane will be held on Dec. 1.
Visitation will be from 1-4 p.m. at St. Matthew’s Evangelical Church,
1615 N. Wauwatosa Ave. (76th Street), Wauwatosa, with the service
following officiated by the Rev. Chris Manke.
