Brian P. Ramel, 25, of Random Lake, was called to eternal rest on Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, at Children’s Hospital surrounded by his loving family after his 17-year courageous battle with cancer.
Brian was born on June 28, 1987, to Mark and Debra (nee Meyer) Ramel. He graduated from Random Lake High School in 2005 and Lakeshore Technical College in 2006 with a degree in Dairy Herd Management. His passion was dairy farming and he worked for Tidy View Dairy in Kaukauna, Kraus Custom Forage Harvesting in Elkhart Lake, Maple Hill Farms in Random Lake and Rosendale Dairy in Rosendale. His favorite hobby was to collect farm toys and build miniature farm displays. He was an avid Packers and Brewers fan. He also loved spending time with his dog, Buster, and being outdoors. He was a member of Lady of the Lakes Parish in Random Lake and had a deep love for his family and the Lord.
He is survived by his parents, Mark and Debra Ramel; siblings, Steven, Jessica, and Matthew of Random Lake; grandparents, Gilbert and Loretta (nee Heimerl) Meyer of Fredonia; Godparents, Susan (Roy) Carter and Gilbert Meyer Jr.; and close friends, Bill Eberle of Omro, Casey Hausch of Green Bay, and Chris Edmonson of Santa Fe, Tenn. He is further survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Orville and Charlotte Ramel; and an uncle, Harland (Janice) Grezevske.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, Oct. 5, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church – St. Nicholas Chapel (W4274 Highway K, Dacada, WI 53075).
The visitation will be held on Thursday, Oct. 4, from 4-8 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W. Paradise Drive, West Bend, WI 53095) and on Friday, Oct. 5, from 10 a.m.-12:45 p.m. at St. Nicholas Chapel before the Mass at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer (MACC) Fund (10000 W. Innovation Drive, Suite 135, Milwaukee 53226) would be appreciated.
