Bradley Gram Scholz, 54


Bradley Gram Scholz, 54, of Hartford, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012. He was born on Sept. 27, 1958, in Milwaukee to Glen and Mary Jo Scholz.

Brad graduated from University School of Milwaukee in 1976. He attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering. Upon received a Certificate of Drafting in 1983, he worked as a draftsman for Glen Scholz Architect in Glendale for several years. In subsequent years he worked for a number of manufacturing companies operating precision tooling machinery.

In his youth, Brad enjoyed landscaping and gardening learning the tools of the trade from an early mentor and friend, Joe. An avid NASCAR enthusiast, he attended several races around the country capping it off with the hands-on Petty Driving Experience in Las Vegas. Brad enjoyed traveling, pursing a lifelong dream exploring Europe for six weeks. Brad was skilled with many tools and machines and was very mechanically inclined, spending time working on projects in his house and garage.

Brad is survived by his brothers, Brandon, Madison, and Brian, Eaton, Colo.; nieces, Betsy, Emma and Avery, all from Madison; nephew Bentley, Eaton, Colo.; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Mary Jo Scholz and by his best feline friend, “Bandit.”

The Scholz family would like to extend a very special thank you to Brad’s friends Linda and Gary, who brought comfort, love and friendship to our brother in his later years.

Visitation and services will be held on Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 809 S. Sixth Ave., West Bend, WI 53095. 334-4901. Visitation begins at 9:30 a.m., service starts at 11 a.m.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Saint Benedict the Moor Community Meal Program, 1015 N. Ninth St., Milwaukee, WI 53233.
