Shirley E. Wren-Krause, 90


Shirley E. Wren-Krause (nee Graff), 90, of West Bend passed away on, Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, at Luther Manor Health Care Center in Milwaukee.
She was born on Aug. 9, 1922, in Milwaukee, to the late Frank and Lillian (nee Ollinger) Graff. On Jan. 16, 1944, Shirley was united in marriage to Edgar Krause, he preceded her in death on Oct. 8, 1965. On Aug. 9, 1990, she was united in marriage to Elmer Wren. Elmer preceded her in death on April 16, 2006.

Shirley was an excellent cook and baker. She enjoyed playing sheepshead and gardening.

Shirley is survived by three children, Gerald (Kathleen) Krause, Charles (Diane) Krause, and Joanne (Albert) Sunn, Jr.; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Clarence Graff and Merlin Graff; sister-in-law, Magdalene Krueser; and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; two sons, Frederick Krause and Edgar Krause Jr.; a sister, Novella Krause; three brothers, Elmer, Victor, and Norman Graff; and two sisters-in-law, Carol Graff and Ann Graff.

Funeral services in remembrance of Shirley will be held on Friday, Oct. 12, at 7 p.m. at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington St., West Bend with the Rev. Donald P. Weiss of St. Peter-Immanuel Lutheran Church, Milwaukee, officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 4 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Washington County Memorial Park.
