Eileen M. Mayer, 73

Eileen M. Mayer (nee Roeber), 73, of Jackson died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, at Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital in Wauwatosa. She was born May 5, 1939, in Milwaukee to the late Lester and Alvia (nee Gruber) Roeber and married Brian R. Mayer on Aug. 28, 1971, at Holy Angels Church in West Bend.

Eileen grew up in the West Bend area, attended local school and graduated from West Bend High School with the class of 1958. She worked at Spring Corp. in Grafton until her marriage. She made West Bend her home until moving to Jackson in 1997.

Eileen is survived by her husband of 41 years, Brian, her son Shawn of Jackson, and three siblings: her twin brother Allen Roeber of West Bend, Gloria Lopez of Milwaukee and Lester Roeber of Menomonee Falls. She is further survived by a sister-in-law Marilyn Roeber of West Bend, a brother-in-law Michael Mayer of Wausau, nieces, nephews and other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Alvia Roeber, and her brother, Norman Roeber.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct, 11, 2012 at 7 p.m., at the Schmidt Funeral Home in Jackson with Deacon Mark Jansen officiating. Inurnment will be Friday at 11:30 a.m. in Washington County Memorial Park.

The family will greet relatives and friends for a period of visitation on Thursday, at the funeral home from 4-6:45 p.m.
