Virginia L. Steffen, 88
Virginia L. Steffen of Thiensville passed away peacefully, at the Horizon Hospice in Mequon on Oct. 15, 2012, at the age of 88.
A Celebration of Virginia’s Life will be held on Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at 6 p.m. at the Mueller Funeral Home& Crematory in Grafton.
The family will receive friends, on Monday, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Rev. Franz Rigert will officiate the service. Inurnment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Grafton.

Virginia was born on Sept. 19, 1924, in Milwaukee the daughter of Walter Rosenwirth and Clara (nee Zeunert) Rosenwirth. She graduated from Girl’s Tech in Milwaukee in 1942. On Oct. 24, 1942, she married Arnold Steffen, in Milwaukee. Their marriage was blessed with three children, Nancy, Tim and Jill.
Virginia lived a good life and a full life, volunteering her time and talents helping others. She was very active in the Cedarburg Senior Center, as well as baby-sitting for children and pets. Virginia was also very ambitious and well-traveled, spending time throughout Europe, Canada and various parts of the United States. She was a loving and caring person, who always put others ahead of herself.
She will be deeply missed by the many people she touched throughout her life.
Virginia is survived by her children, Nancy (Ken) Fromm, Tim (Kathy) Steffen and Jill (Jose) Rios; grandchildren, Gina Fromm, Ken (Karen) Fromm, Debbie (Marc) Ellestad and Kate (Ian) Cotner; great- grandchildren, Elyssa and Jolie Ellestad and Liam Cotner; and brother, Dick (Laura) Rosenwirth. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arnold Steffen; and brother, Bud (the late Helen) Rosenwirth.
