Eugene
“Tiny” B. Priesgen, 84, of Hartford, passed away Friday, Oct. 19, 2012,
at the Hartford Care Center surrounded by his family.
He was born March 12, 1928, to Irene (nee Meyer) and Edward Priesgen. He
married Vanilda “Nellie” Moser on Oct, 9, 1948, at Holy Hill in
Hubertus.
Eugene was a truck driver and farmer most of his life, he also served in
the United States Army. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and
his dogs, antique tractors, tinkering with tools, and was a Packer fan.
He is survived by his wife Nellie; children Darlene (Dale) Grinwald,
Gerald “Butch” (Betty) and Eugene Jr. (friend Cindy) Priesgen all of
Rubicon, Janet (Nick) Klink of Hartford, Ronald Priesgen of West Bend,
and Jeffery Priesgen of Hartford; grandchildren, Brenda, Ryan, Terri,
Troy, Keith, Kristina, Michelle, and Marcia; 12 great-grandchildren; and
his siblings, Leroy (Mary) and Jerome (Maryann) Priesgen. Eugene is
further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Irene and Edward Priesgen,
siblings Edward Priesgen and Doreen (Scholtes) Uhl, brother-in-laws,
sister-in-laws, and nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial for Eugene will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 24,
2012 at 10 a.m. at St. Kilian Catholic Church, 264 W. State St.,
Hartford. Visitation will be at the Shimon Funeral Home on Tuesday, Oct.
23, from 4-7 p.m. There will also be visitation at the church on
Wednesday from 9-10 a.m. unyil the funeral Mass. Memorials to
Alzheimer’s Association and the American Heart Association are
appreciated by the family.
Interment at St. Kilian Cemetery, Hartford on Wednesday with military
honors.
