Esther M. Sauthoff, 87
 

Esther M. Sauthoff, 87, of Cedarburg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 17, 2012, at Cedar Springs Nursing Home.

Esther was born in Milwaukee on June 21, 1925, parents unknown. She was later adopted by Albert and Norma Scheer.

Esther grew up in Cedarburg, attended local schools and graduated from Cedarburg High School in 1943.

On Aug. 28, 1948, she was united in marriage to Harold A. Sauthoff.

For the majority of her life, Esther was a homemaker. She later was employed at Lasata Nursing home, Friendship Village, Motherís Restaurant and Pick ín Save.

She was preceded in death by her adopted parents and a brother, Robert Harthun.

Survivors include her two children, Bette Jochmann (Ted Dobrzynski) of Sheboygan and Bob (Lynne) Sauthoff of Cedarburg; six grandchildren, Matt Jochmann of Sheboygan Falls, Jamie Jochmann of Sheboygan, Chris (Mike) Brown, Philadelphia, Rob Sauthoff (Sarah Arquello) of Cedarburg, Ricky Sauthoff of Cedarburg and Ksenia (Phil Stepanski) Sauthoff of Watertown. She is further survived by a great- grandchild, Emani Brown, and the soon-to-be-born baby Brown.

In respect to her wishes, there will be no visitation. Burial was in Immanuel Cemetery in Cedarburg on Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at 2 p.m.

Pastor Bruce Dunford officiated.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in her name.
