Anne
M. Shavlik, nee Graff, age 73, a Crivitz resident, formerly of Two
Rivers, Hartford and Waupun, died peacefully with family on Thursday,
Oct. 25, 2012.
Anne was born on Sept. 8, 1939 and married Jim Shavlik on Septe. 16,
1961 in Two Rivers. The couple resided and raised their family in
Hartford for 26 years where she worked as a registered nurse. After
raising their family, she returned to school to earn her master’s degree
in nursing and provided care at a small rural clinic as a Family Nurse
Practitioner in Randolf for 10 years. The couple retired to Crivitz, a
place they always loved.
Anne enjoyed spending time with her family, tending to her flowers in
the sunshine and talking with her book club friends. In her retirement,
she became a certified master gardener and faithfully contributed her
time at Harmosny Gardens. Also, during retirement, she learned to play
the organ and enjoyed playing for the congregation at St. Mary’s of the
Lake, Crooked Lake. She was a great friend to everyone with a welcoming
hug and smile on her face. One of her favorite pastimes was taking walks
in the north woods with her best friend and husband, Jim.
Beloved wife of Jim for 51 years, mother of Bill (Becky) of West Bend,
Paul (Sheri) of Ishpeming, Mich., Mark of West Bend, Mike (Sandie) of
West Bend. She cherished her grandchildren, Kristal, Jake, Brady and
Renna. She was a dear big sister to John (Carol), Richard (Judy), Sue
(Joe) Erickson, Bob and Margaret (Don) Gotcher.
Visitation will be at Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Crivitz, 801 George
St., on Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, from 3-5: pm. Second visitation will be
at St. Mary’s of the Lake church, Crooked Lake, Monday, Oct. 29, 2012,
from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m.
