Viola M. Sachse, 94|
Viola M. Sachse, of Thiensville, was called to her heavenly home, on Aug. 27, 2012, at the age of 94.
Viola was born on Oct. 24, 1917, in Mequon, the daughter of Edward Scherer and Ottili (nee Kemp) Scherer. She grew up on the family farm and later married Paul Sachse on Dec. 14, 1935, in Mequon.
Their marriage was blessed with three children, Phyllis, Virginia and Paul.
Viola was a longtime, active member at Grace Lutheran Church in Thiensville, singing in the church choir, serving as a Sunday school teacher and volunteering her time for the Ladies Aid Group. She was also a charter member of the Mequon Woman’s Club and played golf with the ladies in the club. Viola volunteered at the Weyenberg Library, she was a member of the Mequon Choraliers and was a member of the Golden Club.
Although, Viola remained active throughout her life, she never once forgot about her loving family. The love and care she showed her children, grandchildren and the rest of the family, was truly something special.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, in Thiensville. The Rev. Jay McDivitt officiated the services. Interment took place at Graceland Cemetery in Milwaukee.

Viola is survived by her children, Phyllis (Edgar) Armbruster, Virginia (Thomas) Carron and Paul (Mardelle) Sachse; grandchildren, Perry Carron, Jesse (Kristina) Carron, Jill Armbruster, Steven Armbruster, David Armbruster, Lea Ann (Jeff) Bleck, Beth (David) Storms, Eric Armbruster, Paulette (Loren) Galati and Jennifer (Sean) Easton; sisters-in-law, Juliet Scherer and Mary Scherer; and special friend, Betty Thompson. She is further survived by 10 great- grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Viola was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul Sachse; and numerous siblings.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the Highlands at Newcastle in Mequon, especially to nurse Pauline.
