George William Condon, 73


George William Condon, 73, of Kingsford, Mich., passed away on Monday, Sept. 3, 2012, at the Oscar G. Johnson V.A. Medical Center in Iron Mountain, Mich.

He was born May 24, 1939 in Crystal Falls, Mich., son of the late George and Helen (Lake) Condon. George attended school in Crystal Falls and joined the United States Coast Guard. He worked as a painter at Gehl Company in West Bend from October 1987 through June 2001 where he retired. He moved back to Michigan after retirement and married Marjorie Clark on Dec. 22, 2003. He attended Grace Baptist Church in Kingsford and found comfort in reading his Bible. He loved fishing and was very artistic. He especially loved drawing.

He is survived by his wife, Margie; two sons, Brett Condon of Caspian, Mich., and Danny Condon; a daughter, Lisa (Chris) Weiss of West Bend; three brothers, Jim (Ione) of Crystal Falls, Mich.; Gary (Carla) of Clintonville; Garth (Barbara) of Clintonville; and one sister, Jeanie (ÒChumÓ) of Clintonville; two grandchildren, Brooke and Justin Weiss; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Sept. 8 from 10-11 a.m. at Grace Baptist Church in Kingsford. Memorial services will follow at 11 a.m. at the church. Pastor Wynne Kimbrough will officiate.
