Alfred F. Loecher, 82|
Alfred F. Loecher, age 82, found eternal peace on Sept. 6, 2012. He was born on June 25, 1930 in Stacyville, Iowa. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Dorothy (nee Merten) on June 10, 1953 in Adams, Minn. They started their family in Stacyville, Iowa, then settled in Wisconsin. He worked at American Motors and then Rexnord, where he retired from in 1993.
Al started the Young At Heart Organization at St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Parish in West Bend. He was always very involved in Cub and Boy Scouts. He often did repairs for friends and neighbors. He was a member of Korean War Vets, American Legion Post #36, VFW Post 1393, and the Sno Birds Snowmobile Club.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy; children, Doug, Vivian (Keith) Nienow, James, and Kevin; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Mueller, and Joan (Jerome) Heimer. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Helen (Everett) Wagner; brother-in-law, Emil Mueller.
The Memorial Service will be held on Monday, Sept. 10, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W Paradise Drive, West Bend, WI 53095) with Deacon Dan Schroeder presiding. The visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. No flowers, please.
