Doris G. Green, 69
Doris
G. Green (nee Pearson), 69, of West Bend was called home to heaven on
Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012, at Froedtert Health St. Joseph’s Hospital. She
was born May 19, 1943, in Speed, Kan., to the late Willard Gordon and
Lois Gertrude (nee Pinkerton) Pearson and married Dennis H. Green on
July 21, 1961, in Arvada, Colo.
Doris was a godly woman who lived her life as is written in Proverbs 31.
Her godliness led many to the Lord. She loved everyone with all her
heart and was a proud mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Doris
was well-known as an extraordinary woman who had a passion for life. She
loved babies and children and enjoyed nurturing her family and their
friends. Everyone was always welcome in their home. She loved flowers
and was a classy elegant lady.
She lived in Colorado for most of her life and served as an office
manager for AT&T before managing Dr. Goldberg’s Family Practice office
in Arvada, Colo. where she medically retired from in 2006.
Doris is survived by her husband of 51 years, Dennis, three children:
Hal of Salt Lake City, Hilary (Tim) McGuire of West Bend and Justin
(Wendy) of Virginia, her daughter-in-law Anna Green of Arvada, Colo.,
seven grandchildren : Sherina (Jerry) Gold, Dennis Green, Josh (Rachel)
Green, Hope Green, Grace Green, Faith Green and Joseph Green, and two
great-grandchildren: Noah Gold and Olivia Green. She is further survived
by six siblings: Willie (Bob) Certain, Royce (Carol) Pearson, Cy (Peggy)
Pearson, Jerry (Pat) Pearson, Lyle (Gail) Pearson and Willard (Shirley)
Pearson, a brother-in-law Gary (Jeanine) Green, a sister-in-law Sally
(Jim) Cooley, beloved nieces and nephews: Jackie Bauch, Alisha Pearson,
Jarrod Pearson and Robbie Certain and nieces, nephews and other
relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Lois Pearson, and
her aunt, Doris Dunning.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Sept, 22, 2012, at 3:30 p.m.
at the Schmidt Funeral Home in West Bend with Rev. James Tucci
officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends for a period of
visitation from 2:30 p.m. until the time of the services.
