Ann LaBril, 94|
Ann LaBril, 94 and a resident at Wellington Place in Hartford, was called to her heavenly home on Friday, Dec. 28, 2012. Ann was born May 26, 1918 in Speicher, Switzerland. She was the third of four children born to Conrad and Anna (Schmid) Diem. Ann and her family immigrated to the United States in February, 1923, and settled in the Swiss community near New Glarus, Wis. She was united in marriage to her late husband, James S. LaBril, on Nov. 29, 1947 in Milwaukee. Ann enjoyed cooking and gardening, and she loved to spend time with her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Ann is survived by her daughter Barbara (Paul) Freeman of Hartford, and son-in-law Dave Rubini of St. Charles, Ill., granddaughter Jessica Stroede, step grandson Josh Rubini, and sister Clara Grenzow. She is further survived by other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband James S. LaBril, daughter Karen Rubini, and brothers Conrad and Jean Diem.
Memorial service for Ann will be held Friday, Jan. 4, 2013 at 1 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home. Family will greet relatives and friends at noon.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Northbrook Church of Richfield or to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association are appreciated.
