Gerald W. Remillard,
Gerald “Jerry” W. Remillard passed away peacefully on the morning of Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, at the age of 68 years. His final days were spent at the Kathy Hospice surrounded by loved ones. Jerry was born on July 7, 1944, in Milwaukee to Leo and Naunerl “Nan” (nee Hafenbrack) Remillard. He grew up on Silver Lake with his five siblings. He graduated from West Bend High School and attended Carthage College. He was a gifted designer and engineer. After working for his father at Wisconsin Trailer for many years, he started and co-owned Best Trailer Corp. in Kewaskum. Most recently, Jerry drove medical transport for Washington County Taxi. In his free time, Jerry enjoyed car shows, reading, traveling, playing sheepshead and spending time with his family.
Jerry will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 43 years, Sharon (nee Oswald); his four children Debbie (John) Watson, Tim, Tammy (Bob) Glodowski, and Jason; and his nine grandchildren Sgt. Jenna Remillard, Samantha, Jack, Justin, Megan, Nick, Nathan, Anna, and Abby. He is further survived by his siblings Judy (the late Jim) Snavely of Appleton, Kathy (the late Lafe) McKinney of Arizona, Lionel (Linda) Remillard of Allenton, Trice (Chris) McKinney of Fond du Lac, and Rick (Cathy) Remillard of Sturgeon Bay, and many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, parents-in-law and other relatives.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. John Radetski and the Rev. Michael Wild presiding Gathering will be at the church from 4-6:45 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013. At Jerry’s request, his body will be donated to the Medical College of Wisconsin.
