Mary Hall Sullivan

Mary Hall Sullivan died peacefully Jan. 23, 2013 in West Bend. She was born July 8, 1926 in Madison the daughter of George and Dorothy (nee Whitgrove) Hall. She was preceded in death by her brother David Hall, husband Gilbert and son Kenneth.

She received a bachelorís degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1948 and a masterís degree from the University of Notre Dame.

She enjoyed a career as a high school guidance counselor in South Bend, Ind., and involvement in many civic activities at the local, state, and national levels. She was a member of the North Harbor Network in Milwaukee and was appointed to the state Architectural Licensing Board. She spent eight years on the Merrimac Town Board and was instrumental in the creation of the Merrimac Town Hall and preservation of the COLSAC Car Ferry across the Wisconsin River. She is survived by her sons Mark (Michele) and Lawrence (Laurie), her sister Anne Greisch, and grandchildren Michael, Kyle, Erin, Caroline and Lawrence Sullivan.

Family would like to thank Dr. Robert Gibson and the staff at the Lighthouse West Bend for their excellent and compassionate care.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Nature Conservancy Baraboo Hills Project or the Alzheimerís Association would be appreciated.

Private services will be held.
