Annette R. Kruepke, 91

Annette R. Kruepke, nee Beilke, of the town of Polk died on Saturday, March 2, 2013, at her home with her family by her side at the age of 91 years. She was born on Aug. 4, 1921, in the town of West Bend to the late Henry and Katherine (nee Schaeffer) Beilke.

At an early age, her family moved to Kewaskum where she attended local schools. After graduating from Kewaskum High School, she worked at Peters Store in West Bend.

On Sept. 27, 1941, she was united in marriage to Howard J. Kruepke at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum. The couple then settled in the Town of Polk where they farmed. Together, they owned and operated Kruepke Trucking, which is still a family operated business.

Howard was a member of the Germantown Rotary Club, where he was a Paul Harris Fellow. Annette received an Honorary Paul Harris Award for her commitment to service.

Howard predeceased Sept. 26, 2001.

She was a charter member of St. Frances Cabrini Parish in West Bend. She also served on their 40th Anniversary Celebration Committee.

Survivors include 10 children John (Marian) of Jackson, Bob (Linda) of Colgate, Jim (Barb) of West Bend, Tom (Doreen) of Jackson, Mary (Steve) Plier of Jackson, Bonnie of Jackson, Dick of Jackson, Ken of Slinger, Nancy of Jackson and Jeff (Linda) of West Bend; one daughter-in-law Karen (Eric) Schmitz of West Bend; 20 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law Delores (Don) Opperman of West Bend and Donna Spaeth of Jackson; other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son Daniel “Mooch” on Jan. 10, 2005, one brother Leroy (Emily) Beilke, one sister Marie (Roland) Rate, and two brothers-in-law Earl Kruepke and David Spaeth.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 7, at 6 p.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church with Rev. Nathan Reesman presiding. Burial will be Friday at 11 a.m. in Washington County Memorial Park. The family will greet relatives and friends during a period of visitation at the church only on Thursday from 2-5:30 p.m.

The family has requested memorials to St. Frances Cabrini Church.
