Juliann M. Mondroski, 59

Juliann M. Mondroski, 59, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2013, at The Kathy Hospice in West Bend after an arduous battle with pancreatic cancer. Julie was born Jan. 20, 1954, in Wausau, the daughter of Edward and Josephine Mondroski of Mosinee. She attended Mosinee High School before attending the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and then transferring to the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where she finished her undergraduate degree in 1976. Pursuing post-graduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee as well, she graduated with a master’s in social work in 1981. Julie joined Medical Associates (later acquired by Froedtert Health) in Menomonee Falls in 1988, where she enjoyed a 25-year career as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She worked at this position until her death, achieving many honors and accolades and eventually rising to the position of clinical manager/psychotherapist where she managed both the Behavioral Health Department and Ophthalmology Department. Julie was an accomplished musician with a love for drums and her piano accordion. She was also a talented artist who enjoyed painting and various other artistic mediums. Fond of birds, Julie had many, many birdfeeders in her scenic backyard where she would feed, watch and identify the various species that came to visit. She enjoyed traveling, bowling, fishing, and her Jack Russell Terriers, Majik and Jaksen.

Julie was preceded in death by her mother, Josephine Mondroski, and her great-nephew, Finnegan Ringdroski. She is survived by her father, Edward Mondroski, Mosinee; brother, Dennis (Carol) Mondroski, Mosinee; sister, Marcia (Joanne Pallen) Mondroski, Atlanta, Ga.; nephew, Joe (Chris) Mondroski, Walker, Mich.; nieces, Becky (Jamie) Pemble, Mosinee, and Nicky (Mike Ring) Mondroski, Madison; five great-nieces and nephews, Ella and Jolie Mondroski, Chase and Drake Pemble, and Evelyn Ringdroski; several aunts, many loving cousins, and her dearest friend, Jodi Valind, West Bend.

The Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2013, at 3:30 p.m. at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W Paradise Drive, West Bend) with the Rev. Marion Talaga presiding. The visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, March 16, from 2 p.m. until the time of service at 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Kathy Hospice (St. Joseph’s Community Foundation, 551 S Silverbrook Drive, West Bend, WI 53095).

The family would like to thank all who have visited to be at Julie’s side throughout her illness, helped with her transportation to and from the hospital, cooked her comfort food, sent flowers, gifts and cards, and showed their loving support throughout these past difficult times. In addition, the family thanks The Kathy Hospice and Froedtert Hospital.
