Bernice Fleischman, 91

Bernice E. Fleischman, nee Ruplinger, 91, of St. Kilian entered into eternal life on April 29, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. She was born Sept. 6, 1921, on a farm near St. Kilian, a daughter of Kilian and Mary (German) Ruplinger. On June 21, 1941, she married Frank Fleischman at St. Kilian Catholic Church. Together they farmed the Fleischman farmstead throughout their lives. She also worked as a nurse’s aide at St. Agnes Hospital. Frank preceded her in death on Oct. 6, 1992.

Bernice was a devout Catholic woman who loved gardening, quilting, baking, and nature, but most of all spending time with her family.

Survivors include nine children, Mary of Sheboygan, John (Katie), Betty (Dennis) Krueger, Aggie, Louise (Rich) Fahney, Tony (Chris), all of Kewaskum, and Albert (Joan), Norman “Hubie” (Gloria), Angela (Tom) Schickert, all of Campbellsport; son-in-law Ed Preo of Adell; 23 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Mary Ann (Don) Lichtensteiger, and sister-in-laws Ruth Beisbier, Audrey Ruplinger and Edna Ruplinger, her long-time faithful friend Barbara Stoffel, and many other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Judy Preo, granddaughter Christa Fleischman, grandson’s wife Rhonda Krueger, great-grandson Mark Jaeger, and eight brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 2, from 3-7 p.m., at St. Kilian Catholic Church, N189 Highway W, Campbellsport, WI 53010. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 7 p.m., immediately after visitation. The Rev. Neil Zinthefer will officiate. Burial services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, May 3, at the parish cemetery.
