Patricia Kotecki, 81

Patricia Kotecki, of Port Washington, formerly of Cedarburg and Montello, passed away Saturday morning, June 1, 2013, at Harbor Club in Port Washington. She was 81 years old.

Pat was born May 18, 1932, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Mark and Mary Ann Rober Dore. On Aug. 16, 1952, she was united in marriage with Edward Kotecki at St. Gall Church in Milwaukee. For many years, she was a study hall monitor for the Cedarburg High School. After Ed’s retirement, Ed and Pat enjoyed 17 years at Buffalo Lake in Montello.

Pat was a member of St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church in Port Washington. She also had belonged to the Cedarburg Trekkers, a local camping group. She was an avid Packers and Badgers fan, and one of her highlights was attending the Rose Bowl in California with Ed. She enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, cooking, fishing, and sewing crafts. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Pat is survived by her four children, Thomas (Laurie) Kotecki of Muskego, Patrick (Cindy) Kotecki of Port Washington, Robert (Julie) Kotecki of Fox Point and Kathy (Jerome) LeMahieu of Port Washington; and 10 grandchildren, Shawn, Kelsey, Carson (Katelin), Andrea, Rebekah, Abby, Maggie, Max, Jenna and Alec. She is further survived by two brothers, James (Isabel) Dore of Palmyra and Mark (Peggy) Dore of New Berlin; two sisters, Mary (Dennis) Dittman of Grafton and Kitty Spaulding of Hilo, Hawaii; sister-in-law, Carol (Jerry) McLellan of Florida; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 7 p.m. on Thursday evening, June 6 at St. Peter of Alcantara Catholic Church, 1800 N. Wisconsin St., Port Washington. Father Pat Wendt will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Port Washington. The family will receive visitors on Thursday evening from 5 p.m. 7 p.m. at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Ozaukee Lakeside Relay For Life.
