Jerry L. Miller, 75

Jerry L. Miller of Bradenton, Fla., died Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013, at his home at the age of 75 years. He was born in Milwaukee to Ruth Schweder Miller Gornjak and Leroy (Whitie) Miller on Oct. 8, 1937.

Jerry had local bands called Jerry Miller and the Cimmarons and Jerry Miller and the Country Lions. He used to own the Sandbar on Pike Lake and TJM Ranch in West Bend in the 1970s. He also worked at Wisconsin Motors, Faustel Inc., and Eaton Corp.

There was never an animal Jerry met that he didnít love. Some of his special pets included Cimmaron, his horse, Phyllis, his lioness, Icky the raccoon, Dacquiri and Chaos the dogs, and Petey his bird.

Jerry moved to Bradenton, Fla. in August of 1978 and continued to play music there. Jerry is predeceased by his parents, stepfather and brother.

Survivors include his wife of three years Diane L. Beer; his daughters Jena Maronie (John), Joanna Miller and Crystal L. Miller; a stepdaughter, Nicole (Willie) Tabor; two granddaughters, Taylor and Morgan Maronie, and three step-grandsons; two brothers, Steve (Mary), Jim Miller; one sister, Lynn (Jeff) Pollpeter; and many, many friends both in Wisconsin and Florida.

Memorial service was held in Bradenton, Fla., on Sept. 28. Celebration of his life will be at Amber Inn, Highway 60 on Oct. 19 at 4 p.m.
