Helen M. Junk, 86

Helen M. Junk (nee Klein), age 86, of West Bend, died Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013, at The Lighthouse of West Bend. She was born Sept. 28, 1927, to Arthur and Mary (nee Graef) Klein and married Edwin A. Junk on Sept. 11, 1946 at St. Mary Immaculate Conception Church in Barton. Ed preceded her in death on April 26, 2008.

Helen worked at Enger-Kress and later on at their outlet store. She was also employed at the local Pick-n-Save stores in West Bend for many years.

The focus of Helenís life was her children and grandchildren. She was extremely committed to her family and her home. Helen loved her garden and enjoyed canning and making bread. She would often play the piano and make crafts and enjoyed playing Sheepshead. She was a member of numerous card clubs and turned her children and grandchildren into Rummy card sharks.

Those left behind to cherish Helenís memory are her six children: Gerald (Marlene) of Riverton, Wyo., Ken of Kewaskum, Mary (Bob) Fitzpatrick of West Bend, Andrew (Bev) of Kewaskum, Dennis (Mary) of Kewaskum and Joel (special friend Jennifer Emmer) of Kewaskum. She is further survived by 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, her sister- in-law Rheina Klein of Brookfield and nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Helen is preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Mary Klein, her husband Edwin Junk, two sons and their wives: Lloyd (Sandy) and James (Joan), her granddaughter Stephanie Junk and her daughter-in-law Linda Junk.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, at noon at St. Mary Immaculate Conception Church in West Bend with the Rev. John Radetsky presiding. Burial will follow in Newark Cemetery. The visitation will be Saturday, at the church only from 9:30 a.m.-11:45 a.m. Memorials to the Alzheimerís Association are appreciated.
