Jakob went home to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, at the age of 83.

Jakob was born on May 16, 1930, in Derventa, Yugoslavia, the son of Georg Schuett and Mathilda (nee Dickert) Schuett. He and his family relocated to the United States, and this is where he met the love of his life, Else Pogorel. They were united in marriage on June 9, 1956, at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church, in Milwaukee. Their marriage was blessed with three children, Jenny, Judy and Jim.

Jakob was employed as a machinist for the Milwaukee Gear Co. for more than 36 years. He was an outdoor sportsman, who especially enjoyed fishing, an avid woodworker, and he could be found many Sundays, in front of the television, watching his beloved Packers. Jakob is the beloved husband of the late Else (nee Pogorel); loving father of Jenny (Gregory) Sturn, Judy (Ken) Anderson, and Jimmy (Robin) Schuett; loving grandfather of Sean, David (Tina), Michelle (Josh), Thomas and Joseph; loving greatgrandfather of Brett, Jakob, Brody and Brianna; and dear brother of Stefan Schuett. He is further survived by his favorite cousin, Evi, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Georg, Rudolph, and Ferdinand, and one sister.

Mueller Funeral Home & Crematory has assisted the family.
