Virginia P. Jones,
P. Jones (nee Wagner), born March 28, 1927, entered eternal life on
Sunday, March 17, 2013, at the age of 85.
She was the beloved wife of Edward G. Jones (Grubby). They were married
Aug. 5, 1953.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Margaret Wagner;
and brother, Charles G. Wagner, of Thorofare, N.J.
Ginny was the loving mother of Brian (Laura) Tinsley, The Woodlands,
Texas, Nancy Soltis (Tinsley), Milwaukee, Wendy Jones, Lake Tomahawk and
Gus Jones (Lynn Horack), Woodruff. She is further survived by five
grandchildren, Jeff Soltis (Marjorie MacGregor), Laramie, Wyo., Joe
Soltis, Milwaukee, Stephanie Jones, Stevens Point, Ryan (Katie)
Reddemann, Hopkins, Minn., and Kelly (Pete) Gobis, Green Bay; and one
great-granddaughter, Tessa Rose Reddemann, Hopkins, Minn. And she is
further survived by beloved nieces and other relatives and friends.
Ginny worked for the Cedarburg school administration for 19 years before
retiring in 1988 when she and her husband retired to Ontonagon, Mich.
They spent their winters in Gulf Shores, Ala., enjoying the beach and
other activities with their friends. During her retirement she
volunteered for various organizations in Ontonagon and spent time with
her many friends.
She left on St Patrick’s Day and amidst our sadness it was comforting to
know that this beautiful woman who loved to dance was in heaven
celebrating and dancing on that Sunday morning. She will be greatly
missed by her family.
In accordance with her wishes, no service will be held but a celebration
of her life with her family in attendance will be held at a later date
to be announced.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to hospice care and the Diabetes
Association are appreciated.
The family expresses their extreme gratitude to the staff of Milestone
Senior Living in Woodruff for the care given to Ginny.
